Elyse and Blue the Best of Friends

Elyse loves sitting in her monkey chair and listening to her musical guitar all while reading books to her stuffed animal friends. She really is a busy girl!

After her nap I can usually find her and Blue in our pantry eating her afternoon snack. 

They truly are best of friends.

Our New Bird Feeders and Snow

 We put up a regular bird feeder and a finch feeder this past weekend and we have had a ton of feathery little visitors. Elyse loves watching the birds eat especially when we sit down to eat our meals. 

 We also have a squirrel feeder as well but our red-bellied woodpecker likes to eat off of it too as you can see in this picture. 

 We received our first snow fall of the year on Monday, November 11. 

We took Elyse outside and she loved it falling on her face and she tried eating it. So fun!!

Enjoying the Warmthh of Home on a Crisp Fall Day

 The view out our back door shows the changing colors on the many beautiful trees we have . As the days get cooler we are definitely happy to have a nice warm home to keep us toasty.

 Elyse's room turned out just the way I pictured with soft purples, whites, and gray colors. Evelyn's room is done also, but I haven't taken any pictures yet. Maybe next month... I kid. I will try to get them taken and up by next week.

Yes, We are Walking!!!

Elyse has been very adventuresome and has trying her "feet" at walking. This 

truly is bittersweet. Love to see her progressing, but that means our sweet girl is no longer a baby.

Our Latest Travel

 We had a great visit in Ohio. We spent our first night with Elyse's cousins Maya and Cain. It was fun

to see Elyse get excited while daddy and Cain played hide-n-seek. After a great visit with Amy and Jay we headed to see Mimi and Grampy. Elyse was very photogenic whenever a camera showed up. Here are just a few pictures that captured our trip. 

 Elyse loved having Shep at her level. They were very much enthralled with each other. 

 I just love her sweet cheeks, chubby hands, and curly q's.

 She loved Mimi's cupcakes.

I got a bee in my bonnet and made a fresh cherry pie. 

I have been craving the taste of one of these since the beginning of summer.

A Late Birthday Celebration for Our Little Bean

 Elyse turned 1 year on June 22 but since we were still in our apartment we couldn't have everyone over to celebrate. So we had a big party for her with close friends and family on July 20. We had an owl themed party for her, complete with little baby owlettes cupcakes. We loved having everyone there and missed the ones that couldn't be there to visit. Check out the video below of Elyse eating her smash cake. It is pretty awesome to feel how much love was in that room for our sweet little girl.

Our Little Fish

Well, we are unpacked, had our house warming party, and getting into a routine. Elyse started her first swim lessons and she LOVES it!!!

Busy Week

Elyse loved watching the dolphins jump, but she did not like being suddenly splashed by one.
